For nearly 40 years, David J. Houston has represented employers in planning and counseling through litigation defense in a variety of matters such as age, race, gender, national origin, retaliation and wrongful discharge. He also has experience in litigation of federal (EEOC) and state (Michigan Department of Civil Rights) employment discrimination claims.

Dave has extensive experience bargaining over 50 union contracts in the private and public sector on behalf of employers, and the administration of those contracts including dozens of arbitration proceedings.

Dave is active in his community, he was the founding member and past chairperson for the Ingham County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section. For many years he served on the Board of Directors for Capital Area United Way. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Care Free Medical & Dental Clinic, and has directed Care Free's efforts to co-located all services within a recognized medically underserved area, enhancing federal reimbursement.
