Attorney Marlaine C. Teahan Honored by Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers

She was also selected as a Super Lawyer for 2014 in the fields of Estate Planning & Probate and Estate & Trust Litigation. Additionally, Super Lawyers has selected Ms. Teahan for inclusion in the Top 50 Female Attorneys in Michigan, the Top 50 Consumer Law Attorneys in Michigan, and the Top 25 Female Consumer Law Attorneys in Michigan. Of the Top 50 Consumer Law Attorneys in Michigan, Ms. Teahan is one of only seven female attorneys included in the Top 50.

Ms. Teahan focuses her practice in the area of trusts and estates, working with individuals and families.  She handles a wide variety of matters including: drafting wills, trusts and durable powers of attorney; trust and estate administration; guardianship and conservatorship matters; and probate litigation.

Ms. Teahan is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Council (ACTEC) and currently serves as the Secretary of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan and co-chair of the Ingham County Bar Association Probate and Trust Law section. Ms. Teahan has achieved an AV peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been named in both Best Lawyer and Super Lawyer publications since 2010. She is the co-editor of “Trust Administration Under the Michigan Trust Code” (Institute of Continuing Legal Education, 2010, 2012, 2013) and is a frequent lecturer for ICLE related to estate planning, the Michigan Trust Code, and trust and estate administration.
