Fraser Trebilcock attorney Anita G. Fox has just been selected as one of the Top 30 “Women in the Law” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. The award is given to women who have made great professional strides in the law and demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in private practice, the corporate arena and social advocacy.
In addition to her AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell and recognition as both a Best Lawyer in Commercial Litigation from Best Lawyers in America, and as a Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Magazine for her outstanding legal achievements, Ms. Fox was selected for membership by the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. She also serves as state and federal court mediator and case evaluator. As a Board Member and Vice President, Ms. Fox has dedicated her time to the Children’s Trust Fund, formerly known as Michigan’s Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board.
She was also appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm to serve as legal counsel for several charitable foundations, including the Governor’s Residence Foundation and Michigan NGA while the Governor was active in the National Governor’s Association. Ms. Fox is also an Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University College of Law.
The Women in the Law Class of 2014 will be honored at a luncheon on September 11 in Troy, where the 2014 “Woman of the Year” will also be announced.
