Affordable Care Act: Maximizing Your Health Care Dollars for Small Employers

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) created sweeping health care reform in the United States. With implementation fast approaching, one big question remains for employers: Are you ready for the changes coming in 2014?

To help provide answers to that question, Fraser Trebilcock senior health care & business attorney, Michael James delivered an informational keynote address at a conference sponsored by the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Titled, “Tax Professionals and the IRS: Successfully Working Together”, the seminar provided a unique opportunity for attendees to meet IRS staff and gain insider’s knowledge into rules and regulations for tax preparers.

Mr. James’ portion of the seminar focused on this information as it relates to upcoming changes in health care reform. He provided insights into health care tax credits and penalties, the Pay or Play Mandate, health insurance exchanges, SHOPs and other cost-saving opportunities for small business owners.
