Morgan successfully defended a claim by the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians against ten Emmet County Townships seeking to establish a reservation on most of Emmet and parts of Charlevoix Counties. The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed a federal district court decision denying the claim (opinion attached), and, barring a reversal by the US Supreme Court, the case is done.
