Lansing Regional Chamber 2010 Health Care Forum
This year's forum is focused on a futuristic look at the industry and the changes in innovation, technology and reform that are impacting health care. Moderated by Jonathan E. Raven who has worked in a competitive health care business environment as well as in the legal services profession for over thirty years. Mr. Raven currently Chairs the Health Care Law Department at Fraser Trebilcock where he practices and consults. He also volunteers as a member of the Sparrow Health System Board. Previously, he was first General Counsel, and later President of NuVision, Inc., one of the nation’s largest commercial eye-care chains for a fifteen-year period through and following the time of its sale.
Mr. Raven has been responsible for the legal and regulatory affairs, governance, and senior executive management of a number of health care ventures within and outside of Michigan
As a business executive, he has run private and public ventures; bought and sold them; leased, constructed, and operated hundreds of clinical and service offices; started and run licensed vision care plans; and created successful franchise programs. He has run expansions, turn-arounds, and start-ups, and guided organizations and networks through the technological and electronic systems innovations that transform businesses. He has also created panels of physicians, negotiated joint ventures with large and small health care concerns, and worked as an executive within the Henry Ford Health System. As a twelve year member of the Sparrow Health System Board, he has been its Vice Chair; Chaired its Audit Committee; and sat on the Executive, Governance, {atient Quality and Safety, and Facilities Planning Committees.
Jonathan has worked first-hand with physicians, customers, employees, investors, regulators, and franchisees. As an attorney, he has represented health care professionals, and health care organizations in acquisitions and sales of entities, rights, and tangible properties; contracts and alliances; malpractice licensing, and commercial cases; and technology licensing . Mr. Raven invests his unusual breadth and depth of practical strategic, legal and operating experience in health care and business by working with clients to create effective solutions to the challenges faced by professionals in both their private practice and business ventures.

Kopacz to speak at Holt Alliance
